I'm selling an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff effects pedal, made in the USA in 1980.A legendary high-quality fuzz pedal with that unmistakable sound: massive sustain, thick tone, characteristic midrange response, and the natural compression that vintage Big Muff enthusiasts are looking for.This particular unit was manufactured in 1980. It is completely original and works perfectly.Please note that the 9V battery connection is defective (one wire has come loose). This is of little consequence since virtually nobody powers pedals this way nowadays, and it remains a very easy repair if desired.

Produced and sold in tandem with the V4 Op-Amp predecessor, the fifth rendition of the Big Muff series featured the same op-amp circuitry as the fourth with the addition of a tone bypass. The tone bypass allowed for a flatter equalization, more pronounced distortion, and slight decibel boost.
