Up for sale is a legendary 1989 Steinberger GL4S in classic black. This iconic, USA-made headless guitar is an incredible player's instrument and a true collector's piece. It features the highly sought-after composite construction and has been meticulously maintained with premium functional upgrades, while preserving all of its historic original components.

Electronics & Pickups

• Current Setup: Professionally fitted with a period-correct, fresh set of EMG SA/SA/85 active pickups. They deliver the exact crystal-clear cleans and high-output lead tones this model is famous for.
• Originals Included: The original factory EMG pickups are included in the sale. They were replaced solely due to heavily worn plastic covers, but the internal components remain intact. If you wany you can reinstall them with just 5 minutes of work, due the original pickup plug'n'play setup.

Hardware & Tremolo

• Current Setup: The tremolo has been upgraded with a brand-new bridge/tremolo spring base plate and fresh bearings. This ensures silky-smooth operation, flawless return-to-pitch, and eliminates the common wear issues found on vintage units.
• Originals Included: The original factory base plate (in perfect working condition) and hardware are included to preserve the guitar's historical completeness.

Frets & Playability

• Fret Condition: The guitar retains its original jumbo frets. There are some visible divots, but they strictly do not affect the excellent playability, action, or note clarity.
• Future Maintenance: Because these are substantial jumbo frets, there is plenty of material left for a standard fret dressing/leveling in the future to completely remove the divots if desired. No need to refret.

• Original Gig Bag: Includes the factory-original Steinberger branded gig bag.
• Heavy-Duty Gig Bag: Also includes an additional, highly protective modern gig bag for maximum security during travel and transit.
