1976 Celestion G12M-25 Blackback T1220 8 Ohm Matched Pair — Original 1777 Kurt Mueller Cones

Matched pair of vintage Rola Celestion G12M-25 "blackback" speakers, made in Ipswich, England.

Both speakers carry the date stamp GJ2X — 2nd July 1976, with the X inspection letter used during the Sept '74 to Sept '76 window. A genuine same-day matched pair, which is uncommon.

Condition
Both tested and fully working. No voice coil rub, no buzz, no rattle. Cones are original with no repairs, no reconing, no tears or holes. Spiders clean and tight, cone travel free throughout.

These are the later-70s equivalent of the Greenback. The Kurt Mueller cones give a slightly more aggressive, cutting midrange than the earlier Pulsonic cones, and they pair naturally with master-volume Marshalls of the period. Ideal for a 2x12, a Bluesbreaker-style combo, or as a matched half of a 4x12 rebuild.
