Vintage Neumann KM84i small-diaphragm condenser microphone, serial number 14066, dating from the early 1970s based on Neumann's serial number records.
Condition: Excellent — light scratches from normal handling, no corrosion, no dents. The microphone has clearly been well cared for. Includes the switchable -10dB pad, fully functional.
Note: The Neumann logo badge is missing (see photos). This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the sound or functionality in any way. Selling accordingly at a fair price.
Included:
- Neumann KM84i microphone (S/N 14066)
- Original hard case
The KM84i is a legendary FET condenser microphone, prized for its smooth, natural sound on acoustic instruments, strings, drum overheads, and classical/choir recording. A true studio classic that's been in continuous professional use since the 1960s.
