Up for grabs is one pair (2 individual knobs) of used relic'd genuine Gibson Black TOP HAT Knobs (model PRHK-010). The other two knobs from the from the PRHK-010 set are NOT included). The knobs have some visible cosmetic imperfections from use:

• Knob # 1 has some visible not too light / not too deep hair-line scratches and a few visible tiny & very small nicks on the top round area. Fully functional.
• Knob # 2 -- It has internal cracks. The top edge has about tiny nicks. And on the the outer side (from the top edge to the bottom edge) it has a vertical hair-line crack at the 5 and 1/2 area. Please be careful when putting this knob on your guitar's control. Fully functional.
• More details about the condition of the knobs are further down in the description.

These two knobs came off of used 2004 Gibson SG Special (Worn Cherry). NO guitar included / NO other parts included.

In case you're wonderig - I NO LONGER have the guitar and I NO LONGER have the other two knobs.

NOTE: Several years ago Gibson used to make knobs with the numbers imprinted on the under-side (bottom side) as seen in pictures # 2 and # 20 to # 24.

Since these are kind of older Gibson TOP HAT Knobs --- the Center Area of the UNDER-SIDE (bottom side) of the knobs look different compared to Gibson knobs made in recent years and that are currently made:

• the circular plastic piece that goes around the hole with the ridges is thicker / wider, higher, and has a flat thick top.

Whereas: the UNDER-SIDE of Gibson knobs made in recent years and that are currently made (NOT for sale in this listing):

These genuine Gibson Control Knobs [Top Hat Style - also called Bell Style] are Black with White Numbers & White Dashes.

NO reflectors / NO Letter Print.

These knobs fit on a split shaft stem that has fine vertical grooves / ridges/ spline. The last picture shows this kind of stem (the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included). As you can see -- I mean a stem / shaft that is NOT smooth and that does NOT get held on the the stem with a screw). It can fit a long stem or short stem shaft. The last pictures shows a shows a pot with a short stem shaft (again - the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included).

Made in the USA.

NOTE:

Since these are pre-owned (used) knobs - one or both of the knobs might be a little loose on the shaft of your controls. If this is the case - instead of you gently separating the two metal pieces of the split shaft:

• I would highly recommend that you put a piece of tape or a piece of thin paprt around the shaft of your controls -- so that the knobs will have something else (aside from the metal pieces of the shaft) to grip on to.
• I say this because if you separate the two metal pieces of the split shaft -- there is a great chance that one of the metal pieces (ot even both) will break off. I know this for personal experience.
• Therefore it's better to play it safe and to add the piece of tape or piec eof paper around the shaft.

But if there is a possibility - that one or more of the knobs might need to carefully forced down on the shaft of your control(s).

CONDITION of the knobs for sale in the listing that you are looking at now -

TOP SIDE:

• KNOB # 1 -- It has some visible not too light / not too deep hair-line scratches and a few visible tiny & very small nicks on the top round area.
• KNOB # 2 - It is fine - but you can see the internal cracks.

The TOP Edges

• KNOB # 1 - fine
• KNOB # 2 - it has about two tiny nicks. And at the 5 and 1/2 area is when a vertical crack starts .

The OURR SIDES

• KNOB # 1 - fine / very clean
• KNIOB # 2 - It has a light hair-line crack at the 5 and 1/2 area

BLACK Color on BOTTTOM SIDE:

• KNOB # 1 the black color is flat / matte / dull
• KNOB # 2 the black color has a satin appearance (not too shiny /not too dull)

The Center Area of the BOTTOM Side (the outer area near the very center hole):

• KNOB # 1 - fine.
• KNOB # 2 - a few tiny nicks and a few very short / very light hair-line cracks

The very BOTTOM Outer Edge:

• KNOB # 1 The areas between the # 0 and the # 10 of two of the knobs have a little flattening (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.
• KNOB # 1 The areas between the # 0 and the # 10 of two of the knobs have a little flattening (from how the knobs were manufactured). The other areas of the edges are fine.

The BOTTOM Outer Side edge - -

• For both knobs - fine.

Center Bottom area Hole (hole with ridges) --

• KNOB # 1 - mostly fine / very light wear.
• KNOB # 2 - some of the black color has come off on inner areas where the ridges are (really no big deal).

The other areas of the BOTTOM SIDE are fine.

NOTE:  There may be a couple of imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  There may be a some imperfections that I overlooked.  And - there maybe some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person (like glares and dust specks).
