Yamaha TRB 1005J.
This was my first 5 string bass, and got me through many gigs. It is a beautiful instrument. That quileted maple top is eye candy for me.
The bass plays great. Action is great for fingerstyle and slapping.
It has an active 3 band eq which i felt is very responsive.
Minor defects - some scratches and dings from frequent use, and the battery cover on the back has one broken hinge which means it doesn't close properly. Other than that, the bass is in great condition!
