The OCD V1.4 (Obsessive Compulsive Drive) is an analog overdrive and distortion pedal made in the USA, particularly prized for its open tone, dynamics, and response close to that of a pushed tube amplifier. This version differs from earlier OCDs by the addition of a germanium diode in the clipping circuit and improved smoothness of the volume control. It offers a harmonically rich sound, with more restrained bass and a slightly less mid-heavy character than some later revisions. It features three controls—Volume, Drive, and Tone—as well as a high-pass/low-pass selector switch allowing you to go from a more powerful, saturated sound to a smoother response.
