This is a particularly sophisticated 1995 bass.
The original electronics comprise an EMG BQC active EQ, with master volume, pickup blend, midrange/centre frequency and treble/bass controls.
The two mini switches provide parallel / single-coil / series operation. The master volume is push/pull: according to King’s original letter, pulling it activates the tuner and bypasses the active system.
The integrated onboard tuner was an unusually advanced feature for a handmade bass in 1995. King later continued offering onboard tuners as an option on his instruments
