About this listing
Up for grabs is my Fender Tom Delonge Stratocaster, from the original run in 2002. I have meticulously treasured this thing. It's been kept in a hard case, in a climate controlled room, and is free from rust, corrosion, and any other signs of neglect usually seen on guitars of this age. Commonly, the original run develops cracks in the lacquer around the neck pocket, however because of the great care I've taken, there isn’t a single crack in the lacquer. Unheard of for this model. There are, however, some very small discolouration marks. So small, you'll barely notice them. Again, common as the lacquer ages. There’s also a small mark to headstock and minor chip to the pickup. Everything else is perfect. The wood has aged beautiful, particular on the back of the neck, making it smooth and familiar to play. Everything is stock aside from the string tree, however the original is included in the sale. Also included in the sale is a genuine Fender replacement bridge; the one Tom actually used on his custom shop Strats. Fender went with a different bridge for the retail model to save on cost. It’s a straight swap, so you won’t have any issues doing it yourself. There’s also a spare genuine Fender knurled knob and a TUSQ string tree, if you fancied a change. A Thomann hard case worth £90 is also included in the sale, as well as a pack of D’Addario 10-46 strings.I’m sad to see this baby go, but it’s time. I want it to go to a new home, where it’ll be played more. You won't see another like this, don't miss out!Questions welcome. UK only. Postage fully tracked and insured.
