Here for sale we have a PRS S2 Standard 24 electric guitar in Vintage Mahogany finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a PRS vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge & PRS S2 locking tuning machines. A pair of PRS-Designed passive humbucking pickups are installed, with a HFS Treble in the bridge & HFS Vintage in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls, with a master push/pull coil split on the tone knob. 

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with PRS' Pattern Regular profile filling the hand comfortably for a substantial yet articulate grip across the register. There is plenty of character on offer, inspiring confidence when playing rhythm parts and riffs. This is combined with the ability to reach big stretches and play fast lines and solos with ease. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, delivering a playing surface which feels both luxurious and tactile. With its 10" radius, the surface is well set up for both lead and rhythm playing, facilitating large bends, fast playing and comfortable chording in equal measure. 

The pair of PRS-designed passive humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The HFS Vintage in the neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The HFS Treble in the bridge is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. With the addition of the push/pull coil-split function there are plenty of options for sonic control whilst keeping the switching layout simple.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. A small indentation is apparent near the edge of the treble side body contour, with another below the bridge. These have not removed any of the finish. Wear to the finish is apparent to a small area at the bass side of the lower bout, near where the forearm rests in playing position. The rear face lower bout edge demonstrates small indentations, revealing the wood beneath slightly in a small area.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) is included in the case.

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light tarnishing is apparent to the bass side of the bridge. Concentrated light scratching is apparent to the scratchplate.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
