Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5422TG Electromatic DC Made in China in 2022, this instrument features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Maple neck and 22 fret Laurel fingerboard. Gold hardware is fitted including a Licenced Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, Adjust-o-matic bridge and open-geared tuning machines. A pair of Gretsch FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume, independent pickup volumes & a master tone control. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with Gretsch's Classic 'C' profile providing plenty of comfort and practicality across the register for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The gloss finish to the rear works nicely with the Laurel of the fingerboard to deliver a smooth, tactile playing surface to explore. The scale length is rather short at 24.6", reducing the string tension compared with Fender and Gibson instruments. This lends a slinky feel to the strings which makes the instrument feel incredibly easy to play. The hollow body is on the large side, but is slim enough to remain comfortable in both standing and seated playing positions. 

The pair of Gretsch Black Top FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups use ceramic magnets to produce a higher output than their AlNiCo counterparts. This means they easily drive your amp to breakup for a perfect rockabilly, blues or even rock tone. The neck pickup is round and smooth, whilst the bridge is of course brighter for those snappy rhythm parts. The hollow body construction of the instrument delivers an open and airy tone, and helps to improve the dynamic response. Plenty of unique Gretsch characters in an exclusive, beautiful finish.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. A small dark scuff mark is apparent near the centre of the rear face that could not be removed during our cleaning process.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Mild tarnishing is apparent to the tailpiece, bridge and tuners. Light scratching is apparent to the pickguard.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
