Here for sale we have a Lakland Skyline Series 44-64 Electric Bass in Black Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 2006, this bass consists of an Ash body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Dual Access bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, and a Delrin nut. The pickup installed is a Villex Split-coil with a Villex preamp with controls for volume, tone, passive mid-range boost, and a mid-range rotary knob.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip, whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing. The Satin finish to the rear is pleasant under the thumb and assists with smooth navigation of the 34" scale. The Maple fingerboard with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst providing a pleasant and durable playing surface. The medium jumbo frets enhance the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid sensation under the fingers.
This Skyline Series 44-64 features an upgraded Villex Split-Coil pickup and preamp system. The incredible thing about the Villex system is that it gives you Active tonality and performance, without the need for batteries! The Mid-Range Boost, and Mid-Range Rotary Knob, provide every single tone you could possibly get out of a single coil pickup, making this one of the most versatile Precision Basses on the market. Overall an incredibly well built bass with some serious tonal scope.
