Gibson Howard Roberts Custom made in 1970s is now in stock.

Howard Roberts was a jazz guitarist and session guitarist who left behind many great performances.
In the 1960s, signature models were created by Epiphone, and from the 1970s, he shifted to Gibson.

There were four different models at the time, including the Custom that we have in stock, and it is evident that Gibson was putting a lot of effort into developing these instruments.
The Custom was first produced in 1973, and the one we have in stock was manufactured between 1974 and 1975, according to the serial number.

The laminated maple body is 31/4" thick and 16" wide, making it easy to hold.
The neck is 3-piece maple, which was used in many models in the 1970s. The volutes on the back of the head also give a sense of the era.
The pegs are Shaller keystone type mounted with GIBSON engraving.

The head has a gorgeous flower inlay embedded in it, and the position marks are also unique in shape.
The soundhole is a rather small oval shape, and the tailpiece is the original style with the letters Howard Roberts engraved on it.
A similar style tailpiece to that of Trini Lopez's model is also installed here.

The main feature of this model is the controls.
One pickup mounted on the neck end has one volume and two tones.
Each tone has a different effect, allowing the player to create a very specific sound.

The pegs have been changed to another type.
The overall appearance of the guitar is commensurate with its age, with scratches, dents, and cracks in the paint, but it has been checked and adjusted by a professional repair person since its arrival, and is in good playing condition.

The original pickguard is included.
