Here for sale we have a Gibson Blues King Electro Acoustic Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2012, this guitar consists of a solid Spruce top, Bubinga back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 19-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover mini tuners, a Rosewood bridge, and an LR Baggs Element pickup system with a soundhole mounted volume control. 

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile resembling a 'C' shape providing ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers allowing for easy navigation up and down the neck. The Rosewood fretboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 16” radius making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The small body design fills the arms, providing a dynamic and responsive playing experience, making the user feel the resonance that this guitar produces.

This guitar has a well-balanced and dynamic tone, producing a warm and rich sound, with a strong and clear midrange. The Solid Spruce top and Traditional Hand-scalloped X-bracing contribute to the guitar's excellent projection and sustain, producing a bright and crisp high end that is well-articulated, whilst the Bubinga back and sides offer a warm and deep low end that make chords hum and chime. The LR Baggs Element pickup system allows the instrument's voice to be captured organically, displaying the natural voice of this guitar beautifully through an amplifier.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A light seam is visible along the top edge where the headstock and headplate meet. This is very common with Gibson guitars and presents no structural concern. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can be seen under direct light as is common with gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light lacquer cracking can be seen to the rear of the neck behind the nut,. this has been tested and presents no structural concerns. Light scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be seen under direct light.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light with the most apparent being seen around the scratch plate, as is common with gloss finishes.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
