Here for sale we have a Burns Brian May Signature Red Special Electric Guitar in Cherry finish. Made in South Korea, this guitar consists of a chambered Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 24-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover locking mini tuners, a Burns London Deluxe Tremolo system, and a trio of Burns Tri Sonic single coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, 3 pickup on/off sliders, and 3 phase on/off sliders.

The Mahogany neck plays well, offering a smooth and speedy playing surface, with the 'D' shape neck profile filling the hand nicely whilst encouraging comfortable & ergonomic thumb positioning. The dual cutaways afford unrestricted access up to the 24th fret, whilst the smooth lines of the body are comfortable in both standing & seated playing positions. Medium Jumbo frets feel rock solid & dependable under the fingers, making for easy bends and enhanced vibrato. The Ebony of the fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 10" radius provides a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending. 

The trio of Burns Tri-Sonic style single coil pickups sound crisp and clear, with a sweet low end, open midrange and articulate highs. Clean sounds are bright and snappy, with a fast attack. Driving the amp produces rich crunchy tones, perfect for emulating the Queen guitarist's sound. Each pickup is controlled by individual on/off and phase slider switches, allowing for a wide variety of tones. The pickups share master volume and tone controls for easy sonic sculpting.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. A previous repair is present to the 15th and 21st frets of the fingerboard, this has been done to a professional standard and can be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) included.

Hardware: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching is present to the pickguard, this is consistent with past use and can only be seen under direct light. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
