Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster in 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2003, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Synchronized Tremolo with Vintage-Style Stamped Steel saddles, as well as Fender Vintage-Style Split-Post tuning machines. A trio of Fender Vintage-Style Strat Single-Coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls.

The Gloss Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic hand positioning, feeling smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable playing surface, with the 7.25" radius working in conjunction with the Vintage-Style frets to produce an authentically vintage playing experience, allowing for vibrato techniques and complex chordings to be played with ease.

The Fender Vintage-Style Strat Single-Coil pickups provide all the classic Stratocaster tones that you could wish for. The bridge pickup provides bright and glistening trebles with plenty of spank, whilst power chords sound gritty & raw. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to funky rhythm tones. The neck pickup is of course rounder, and produces creamy lead tones that are great for melodic lines & solos. The vintage-style control layout is practical & versatile, allowing you to dial in the perfect tone right on the guitar.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A light indentation to the bass side edge near the high E tuning machine lightly pierces the finish. Lighter indentations are present to the bass side edge near the low E tuning machine. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock can be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations at either edge of the fingerboard can be seen and lightly felt at the 5th, 13th and 14th frets. At the 13th fret the finish has been pierced to expose the wood. Very light scratching to either side of the fingerboard is present throughout the register when viewed under direct light. 

Body: Overall very good condition. The body demonstrates mild to moderate scratching, scuffing and indentations throughout. Most notably an indentation to the tip of the treble side horn, along with indentations to the treble side edge of the lower bout. These have cracked the finish but do not expose the wood. Further indentation can be found on the top edge of the upper horn. Glue residue is present near the output jack.

Condition of Frets:

This guitar has had a fret level and re-crown to ensure improved playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Hardware: Very good condition with mild tarnishing of the bridge. The pickguard shows light scratching consistent with playwear. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2.25mm
