Vintage Digital Phase Distortion Synthesizer from Casio. One of the 4 or 5 good/great synths from wristwatch maker Casio. The culmination of a lot of their different synthesis engines, this is essentially a higher fidelity DX7 that pulls off better strings and mallet imitations. The pads can get very otherworldly. The transients are so biting and present. I’ve extensively sampled the patches I like but I need to replenish the gear fund with the holidays coming.

Fortunately the included original manual is massive and will clear up a lot of the complications behind the power of this rack synth.
