Designed, assembled and tested in the USA, the OM6 is a dynamic vocal microphone that performs well across a wide range of studio and live applications.
The OM6 is best known for its wide frequency response, full and accurate sound reproduction, resistance to feedback, and its ability to handle very high sound pressure levels, even exceeding 144 dB without distortion.
The OM6 has a hypercardioid polar pattern, which greatly helps to isolate the vocals from the other instruments on stage. The microphone offers an exceptionally wide frequency range of 40 Hz – 19 kHz. The OM6 also features a thin VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm, ensuring a very natural sound with exceptionally good transient response.
The OM6 responds similarly to condenser microphones (smooth frequency transition between 2 kHz and 10 kHz, accurate and fully extended bass response from 60 Hz to 1 kHz). This, combined with extremely accurate mid-range frequencies, makes the OM6 the ideal choice for sound reinforcement or recording live performances, even on the largest stages. This balanced-output microphone is very comfortable and easy to handle, and its black housing (made from a strong zinc alloy) has been designed to offer maximum durability even in harsh conditions. A nylon mount is included in the set.
