The fully analogue “Authentic Hendrix Touring Circuit”, built using carefully matched components, reproduces the unmistakably dynamic and brilliant sound of a British amp with bridged channels more authentically than any other, making it perfectly suited to classic styles ranging from blues to rock. Analogue circuitry with the finest componentsIn constructing the ‘Authentic Hendrix Touring Circuit’, PRS relies exclusively on carefully selected components of the highest quality to achieve a direct and exceptionally detailed sound that allows every note played to shine through without sounding harsh or biting. Accordingly, the preamp stage of the valve amplifier utilises three selected JJ ECC803S valves, whilst the 50-watt power stage features two New Sensor EL34 tubes and custom-designed Straight Edge output transformers, promising powerful sounds with a British flavour. Bridged channelsLike the original from the Woodstock era, the HDRX 50 also features separate treble and bass channels, which are, however, bridged as standard. The treble and bass volume controls therefore allow them to be blended continuously, enabling a wide range of tones from brilliant cleans to rich overdrive with just the right amount of bite. In addition to the three-position Bright switch for the treble channel, the PRS guitar amplifier features a classic tone stack, a ‘High-Mid Gain’ switch and a Presence control for adjusting the tone.
