Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean and 100% original Yamaha SG700 Sunburst from 1979.  These are the Les Paul Standard killers from the 70's with a Solid Mahogany body, a Maple top, and a bound dark Rosewood fretboard.  The proprietary Yamaha pickups read 7.2k ohms at the neck and 7.3k at the bridge and deliver a clear warm woody tone that can roar with smooth distortion when pushed.   This one has had the frets leveled, crowned and polished and plays great with low action at 5 and 3/64".  

The nut measures 1.67", neck depth is .84"-1.01" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's a full C profile not too unlike a "59 Gibson carve.  25" scale, 12"-14" compound radius, 8.9 lbs.  Freshly strung with D'Adarrio XL nickel 10-46 strings and accurately intonated.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.  Comes safely packed and fully insured in the Yamaha branded gig bag in the photos.
