ESP CRAFT HOUSE Custom Shop Telecaster-Stratocaster Hybrid from the very early 80s circa 1980 to 1983. This guitar predates ESP production and catalog models. It has the earliest known "ESP" headstock logo, with only very few known examples featuring this logo. The serial number is stamped into both the headstock and the neck plate and are numbers- matching. You can see Michael Blackwell playing the guitar in the studio here. Blackwell is Louis Tomlinson's (One Direction) guitarist as well as Lewis Capaldi's touring guitarist. He has played all of the famous late night tv shows in America and toured around the world in front of millions of fans.
The guitar features a double humbucker HH configuration with a single volume knob and a hardtail bridge that loads from the back. This guitar features the earliest use of the famous ESP "coffin" back plate that I have ever seen. The body is that of a contoured Telecaster, whilst the neck resembles a Stratocaster with its distinct headstock shape. The result is a totally distinct, one-of-one instrument suitable for the most accomplished players in the world. Sounds and looks amazing in the studio and on stage, as you can see from the photos.
Exceptionally clean case queen with only minor marks and wear. Tuners have been replaced.
