With the Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard Antique Silverburst the Tool guitarist and Gibson present the third Signature guitar of their highly successful collaboration. Unmistakably inspired by Jones' legendary '79 Les Paul Custom, the guitar not only comes with a beautiful Antique Silverburst finish, but also features Custom artwork on the back of the headstock. Construction-wise, traditional tonewoods are used with a mahogany body complete with maple top and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, while a Gibson burstbucker 1 and a DC high-gain humbucker promise versatile tones for progressive rock and metal. Last but not least, a reliable hardware setup with Nashville-style Tune-O-Matic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Grover tuners complete the Adam Jones Les Paul. 

In the construction of the Adam Jones Les Paul Standard, Gibson and the Tool Mastermind rely on classic tonewoods and proven set-neck construction, which is complemented by a number of fine details. While the mahogany body features the traditional maple top, the glued mahogany neck not only carries a high-quality ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays but also a reinforcing flute at the junction with the headstock. The not-too-beefy "'70s Rounded" neck profile also promises agile playing characteristics so that complex riffs and masterful solos can be realized with ease. 

At the guitar amp, the Gibson Adam Jones Les Paul Standard impresses with a complex spectrum of high-calibre clean and drive tones for modern progressive metal. In the neck position, the Gibson Burstbucker 1 mounted with pole pieces pointing to the bridge promises authentic PAF tones with plenty of warmth and airy response. At the bridge, on the other hand, the powerful Gibson DC high-gain humbucker provides powerful yet precisely articulated distortion tones that present every note played with sharply defined contour. The electric guitar's pickups are managed via a hand-wired 3-way circuit with Orange Drop capacitors and separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. 

Last but not least, Gibson equips the Adam Jones Les Paul Standard Antique Silverburst with high-quality Hardware that more than meets professional demands on stage and in the recording studio. From the stop bar tailpiece, the strings are guided over a Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge made of aluminium, and an exact adjustment of intonation and string position is guaranteed. On the headstock, Grover Rotomatic tuners with beautiful Contemporary wings ensure accurate and robust tuning of the Adam Jones Signature guitar.
