With the new Gibson J-185 Original VSB, the traditional American manufacturer presents an all-solid acoustic guitar in a mini-jumbo design that conveys the typical Gibson charm of the 1950s as well as a balanced sound.

Thanks to a construction consisting of a noble Sitka spruce top and a curly maple body the instrument produces a fast-responding sound that is pronounced in the mid and treble frequencies and enriched with warm bass frequencies. In addition to a traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, a thin nitrocellulose lacquer ensures perfect sound development, so that the guitar unfolds its potential directly even with light strumming. Another attractive feature is the easy-to-play mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboardwhich allows comfortable access to all 20 frets thanks to its flat slim taper profile. A meticulously crafted bone nut with a width of 43.81 mm and a corresponding bridge inlay ensure clean intonation over the entire scale length of 628.65 mm. The entire piece is rounded off with Gotoh nickel keystone tuners and the typical parallelogram inlays made of mother-of-pearl.

The acoustic sound of the guitar is also amplified authentically and cleanly, as the manufacturer uses a high-quality L. R. Baggs VTC pickup system. The scope of delivery of the Gibson J-185 Original VSB includes a sturdy case and a Gibson accessory kit.
