First introduced in 1965, the Swedish company Hagstrom firmly established itself in the competitive world of semi-hollow guitars. In the hands of Elvis Presley and Frank Zappa the instruments gained worldwide fame and their place in the books of music history.
The Super Viking takes the classic concept of this instrument into modern times and comes up with well thought-out innovations. The Super Viking has a 25.5" (648 mm) scale, which promises a tight sound and cleanly swinging strings, even when tuning down. The Super Viking also has a wide range of sounds: two HJ-50'C humbuckers promise authentic fat humbucker sounds with the woody timbre of a semi-hollow construction, while the coil split circuit provides additional sparkling single coil sounds.
