The Peavey MiniMEGA more than lives up to its name, as the handy bass amp turns out to be a real powerhouse with one kilowatt of power and extensive options for shaping the perfect bass sound.

The Peavey MiniMEGA convinces with a particularly warm but detailed basic sound, which can be shaped into the perfect form thanks to extensive sound options. The Crunch button below the gain control promises harmonic bass overdrive for authentic vintage grind, while the optical compressor helps smooth out peaks and extend sustain.

The active 4-band equalizer of the MiniMEGA allows particularly precise intervention in the character-defining frequency ranges of the bass sound. Both center controls not only have selectable center frequencies. Thanks to the Narrow-Q switches, the bandwidth of the level boost around center frequency can be determined. In addition, the Bass head has Punch and Bright switches to emphasize the lowest and highest frequencies.

An additional highlight is the two-part KOSMOS Bass Enhancer, which makes the sound seem fuller and more assertive. By adding an octave below the played note, Kosmos A provides extremely fat bass sounds that perfectly match styles between reggae, hip-hop and R&B. Kosmos C, on the other hand, relies on a psychoacoustic effect to elicit what feels like a bigger sound, especially from smaller bass cabinets.

The Peavey MiniMEGA is equipped with an extremely powerful Class D power amplifier to ensure that the electric bass is not drowned out even on large stages or in loud bands. Up to 700 watts into 8 oh ms or a whopping 1000 watts into 4 ohms promise enormous volume reserves for blood-shaking, earth-shaking bass sounds.

In order to use the Peavey MiniMEGA also in complex bass rigs, extensive connections complete the compact bass amplifier. While the serial effects loop allows the integration of additional bass effects, the bass signal can be routed to mixing consoles or recording equipment via DI outputs. There is also an aux-in for playing back backing tracks and a headphone jack.
