The 1847 Classic is the first mass-produced Richter harmonica with stainless steel reeds!

The stainless steel reeds enable a light and quick response and give the instrument a full, loud sound rich in overtones. Thanks to reed plates manufactured using fine-cutting technology, optimised flatness and minimal tolerances between the reeds and the reed plate, very little air is required when playing. The ergonomically shaped, slightly domed and rounded chamber openings ensure a comfortable playing experience.

Thanks to the use of stainless steel for the reeds and rivets, the harmonica offers tonal stability and long-lasting

durability, even under extreme conditions. As the warp-free maple chamber body is sealed several times with food-safe varnish, the instrument is resistant to moisture.
