A rare and highly collectible Moog Etherwave Pro Theremin, finished with its distinctive bird’s-eye maple front panel and featuring the Moog 50th Anniversary badge.
Introduced in 2004 during Moog Music’s 50th anniversary year, the Etherwave Pro was presented as Moog’s professional flagship theremin and was designed for serious stage and studio use. It is also historically significant as the final theremin design created by Bob Moog himself.
This particular example carries serial number 0213, making it an early-production instrument..
The Etherwave Pro is not only a collector’s item, but also a serious professional electronic instrument. Pitch and volume are controlled entirely by hand movement around the two antennas, allowing extremely expressive glides, vibrato, drones and sound-design textures. It is particularly suitable for experimental music, ambient, electronic music, cinematic effects, sampling and studio sound design.
