Manson Guitar Works Supermassive Black Fuzz

Co-developed by Matthew Bellamy (MUSE) and Manson Guitar Works

This pedal was developed over several years through close collaboration between Matthew Bellamy of MUSE and Manson Guitar Works.
The goal was simple: to create a high-quality, UK-made pedal that faithfully delivers the sound and functionality demanded by professional artists.

This unit combines fuzz, filter, and EQ into a single, versatile pedal.
With excellent control, durability, and a beautifully designed enclosure, it offers a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities.

Controls

MAGNITUDE
Controls the overall output level of the effect.
Ideal for use as a boost or for balancing levels with your amp and other pedals.

WARP
Adjusts the center frequency of the filter.
Range: approx. 75Hz – 5kHz
Turning clockwise shifts the frequency higher.

DIMENSION
Controls the intensity and sharpness of the filter peak.

• Clockwise: sharper, deeper filter response
• Counterclockwise: smoother, flatter response

GRAVITY
Adjusts the amount and character of the fuzz distortion.

• Clockwise: classic fuzz tones
• Counterclockwise: more aggressive, modern fuzz

Toggle Switch (EQ ON / EQ OFF)

Engages or bypasses the EQ section (WARP / DIMENSION).

• EQ ON: Activates filter-based tonal shaping
• EQ OFF: Produces a denser, more traditional fuzz sound

Footswitch Functions

Main Footswitch
Turns the effect ON/OFF
(LED indicates when the effect is active)

PEAK Footswitch
Instantly changes the filter response:

• Peak (band-pass)
• Notch / low-pass
  Can be used regardless of EQ ON/OFF status

Power Requirements

• 9V DC (center negative), max 35mA
• Compatible with standard pedal power supplies (e.g., Strymon Ojai)
• Battery operation is not supported

Build Quality

Constructed using high-quality components and a precision through-hole circuit board, ensuring stable performance and long-term durability.

Warranty

The SUPERMASSIVE BLACK FUZZ is covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects.
Warranty is valid only for the original owner.
