The overdrive Preamp 250-X marks the tenth Generation of the legendary DOD overdrive and combines classic design with contemporary technology. Visually, the pedal remains true to the original, but technically the circuit has been extensively revised. A 3-way mini-switch allows you to choose between Original Silicon, Lift Mode and Asym Mode, allowing you to vary the distortion behavior significantly - from classic compact to open and dynamic response. In addition, the 250 X supports operation with 9, 12 or 18 volts, which enables further headroom and gain fine-tuning. This makes the pedal suitable both as a classic Boost and as a stand-alone Overdrive with vintage character.
