The classically built Epiphone Lucille features a semi-resonant body made of five-ply maple laminate, which promises an airy resonant fundamental sound with a harmonious acoustic timbre. King Lucille is handled by two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, which transport the characterful timbre of the semi-acoustic guitar with airy dynamics to the amplifier and are ideally suited for soulful clean and crunch sounds. In addition to the traditional 3-way switching, the electric guitar naturally offers the six-position "Magic Switch" of the Varitone switching, which is a significant component of B.B. King's unmistakable sounds. While position 1 is a true bypass that bypasses the Varitone circuit completely, the other five positions call up different filters that remove specific frequency ranges from the overall sound.
