Ituses a speciality Tone Tubby voice coil. Thespeaker is bright and very chim'ey. Lower mid's are slightly scooped.
Wonderfulfor a darker amp, 6V6 amp, or a carbon comp resistor amp topology.
Thespeaker will also hold it own as a bass speaker when alnico brightness andcompression is desired.
Compressioncomes from increased amplifier power, that the voice coil absorbs, which causesthe alnico tode-magnatize is the later stages of the note volume and power application. Thecone has micro fine granular cone distortion, throughout the volume range.
