I found this wonderful piece of history in a house clearance auction in the Midlands. It's what I believe to be a refinished 'The Gibson' Banjo Ukulele. It plays awesome, sounds awesome, and looks awesome - it's a stunner! Everything about this screams an early 'The Gibson', with a later replacement logo plate which was clearly done after the refinish. It comes with an original 'Reliance' hard case which was known to be used for US imports into the UK during this period. This likely came out of the USA brand new, and stayed within the UK all this time. What a piece of history - grab a bargain!
