Used Squire Stratocaster Black MIJ Early 80s

The early 1980s Squier Stratocaster in Black is part of Fender's first Japanese production run, built during 1983-1984. These models came out of the Fujigen-era manufacturing period and follow a traditional Stratocaster layout with a few period-correct features, including the large 70s-style headstock, bullet truss rod adjustment and 3-bolt neck plate with micro-tilt adjustment.

This example retains the standard three single-coil pickup configuration with a 5-way switching layout and vintage-style tremolo system. This guitar has been worked over, it was definitely someone's main instrument as there is considerable wear throughout- the kind of wear you can't pay to have replicated through a custom shop. It has been professionally inspected and set up.

Cosmetic Condition:
This is a players grade instrument with signs of moderate use, dings, scratches throughout, particularly on the body. Heavy wear on the edges of the fretboard(see photos) There are some deeper scratches that appear to be colored over in sharpie.

Neck:
Maple neck with maple fingerboard, black dot inlays, and a large 70s-style headstock. 25.5" scale length with bullet-style truss rod adjustment at the headstock. 21 frets show minimal playwear. Sealed cast tuners. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.

Body:
Stratocaster body in black poly finish. 3-bolt neck plate with micro-tilt adjustment. 6-point synchronized tremolo with die-cast CBS-style saddles. It weighs in at 7lbs and 3oz.

Electronics:
Three stock single-coil Strat pickups with volume, two tone controls, and 5-way switching. Electronics are functioning properly.

Case:
Non-Original Hardshell case included. TREM ARM NOT INCLUDED.
