■Features

This listing features ROCKMAN’s legendary Distortion Generator

Model 100.

Designed by Tom Scholz of Boston,

this legendary rack-mounted effect unit produced

that thick, smooth distortion sound

that came to symbolize 80s hard rock.

It features a fully independent design that condenses a compressor, a 3-band pre-distortion EQ,

a distortion circuit, and even a cabinet simulator

into a single 1U half-rack unit.

Developed with direct line input in mind,

simply plug it directly into your mixing console, PA system, or audio interface,

and you’ll instantly get

a thick, studio-quality lead tone.

Particularly noteworthy is the Phase Notcher-equipped

4×12 cabinet simulation function.

Even without mic recording, it reproduces the unique ambience and

midrange resonance of a real cabinet,

making it a unit we highly recommend for home recording enthusiasts and DTM users.

By omitting a noise gate while incorporating a 3-band EQ,

this unit offers a dynamic range and distortion sustain unique to the DG,

reaching a level unattainable by its sibling, the Sustainor.
