These early '50s Gibson flattops are our favorite, always so loud and carrying great overtones. This one is no exception and is in great shape with some light wear throughout. Featuring X-bracing, this LG-2 has a mature and refined sound, perfect for recording and sure to inspire.
This example has a replaced bridge plate, two repaired cracks by the end pin and replacement tuners. An interesting note is the later era pickguard, which to our techs appears original, it's possible this guitar went back to the Gibson factory early on for a replacement guard or the body was held back and didn’t leave the floor till around '55.
Serial #9583_16, comes with the original case. Weighs 7.4lbs. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
