Browne Amplification Protein Dual Overdrive V4 Pedal - White

Browne Amplification Protein Dual Overdrive V4 Pedal, White is built for players who rely on stacked gain and need it to work consistently across different amps and setups. This is a great fit for gigging musicians or studio players who want a dependable dual overdrive that can cover low-gain clarity, pushed breakup, and fuller lead tones without losing definition. The White finish keeps things clean and classic, but the real story here is how well these two sides work together.

The Blue side delivers a smooth, mid-forward overdrive inspired by classic tones heard on records like Continuum, with improved output and a more usable tone control. The Green side leans into that Nashville-style drive, offering a warmer, fuller low-mid presence with tighter low end and a more controlled gain range. On the V4, you also get added flexibility with a 3-way hi-cut toggle for shaping top end, plus internal options on the Green side including a low cut, heavier clipping mode, and asymmetrical clipping for more harmonic texture. Running the Green into the Blue creates a third voice that adds gain and fullness while staying clear and articulate.

From a usability standpoint, this pedal is designed to be practical on any board. Each side works well on its own, but the real strength is how naturally they stack without getting muddy. The control layout is straightforward, and the added tonal options give you room to adapt without overcomplicating things. It runs on standard 9V power and integrates easily into most rigs. We like this one for players who want a dual overdrive that actually delivers usable stacked tones instead of just more gain.
