This is a Selmer K-Modified Bb trumpet made in Paris in1965 at the height of the popularity of this model in the US. It has 24B on the underside of the mouthpiece receiver which denotes a medium-large bore or .458.
The lacquer on these horns is usually spotty so we had this one stripped and polished. It is now beautiful polished raw brass. It has had some dent work done on the bell section where it enters the valve block.
Valves are fast and smooth; slides are smooth; and valve compression is very good. There is a small area of plating loss at the top of the 2nd valve piston, but this does not impact compression or valve action. Has a nickel silver leadpipe and nickel silver slide tubes as well as the signature 1st slide trigger.
This horn plays well and is a great example of this popular model from the past.
Does not come with a case.
