Lowden G7 acoustic guitar – 12-string model, built in 1983. It is in very good condition for its age; while there are a few minor dings, there is no serious damage. The original pickup was replaced with a high-quality LR Baggs Element, so the potentiometers on the side of the body are no longer functional. The guitar has a beautiful sound (there is a playing sample in the link). I used it for fingerstyle—where the tone was richer—but sometimes, before changing strings, I played it like a standard 6-string (the wider nut spacing made it easier to play). Top: solid spruce; back: ovangkol. This instrument dates back to the Japanese production era—I believe only 5,000 Lowden guitars were made at the Yairi workshop between 1980 and 1985. It features the original Lowden tuners, which hold their tuning excellently.
Reasonable offers are welcome. I cannot determine the shipping cost in advance, but I will try to find the cheapest option.
I am selling for financial reasons, not because I want to.
