Gibson SG Fusion Bright Cherry 2017

Gibson SG Fusion, bright cherry, made in USA 2017.  It looks very snazzy, no? The Fusion was a short lived model that was a little cheaper and simpler than the SG Standard or Special models, with a couple of cool ideas on deck. You get a nice maple neck finished in natural satin, which feels fantastic. The body is lightweight mahogany, which balances nicely and offers plenty of natural resonance. The wraparound bridge is pretty straightforward to adjust and feels great to play on, and the simple electronics get the job done. The tone on offer is classic SG stuff: punchy, warm and full with a generous attack and a pleasing snap on the top end. The colour is a little bit high-vis, but dang: it looks awesome, I'm in for it. Twenty four frets too... great for your sweep picking delusions.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor dimples on the end and some minor scuffs on the front. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has minor dimples near the bottom edge in the waist area, rub wear along the top edge and a minor split in the finish only on the top horn. The sides have minor dimples on the top horn and elbow area and some minor surface scratches near the jack. The front has minor dimples near the knobs, scuffs and a minor line in the finish  along the join on the top horn as well as minor play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
