Vintage Electro-Voice 619 high impedance dynamic desktop microphone serviced and modified for modern use.
Instead of a cable, it now has a 1/4" jack for easy connection. I added a toggle switch on the top to make the built-in big red button multi-use. It selects between push-to-talk and push-to-mute operation.
The original mechanism for the switch was not reliable so I replaced it with a new component. It has click action which feels similar to a computer mouse.
I also added new rubber feet to the bottom.
This mic has a great lofi character to the sound.
Gear that is altered by Varium comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
