DARV from After Later Audio is a Swiss army knife for modulation and signal processing. At first glance, DARV offers two attack/release envelopes with adjustable curve characteristics and two VCAs. Thanks to well-placed normalizations, wide parameter ranges and different channel configurations, the module can also be used as a function generator, Dual LFO/oscillator, slew limiter and, with additional DARV units, as a synth voice. The two channels differ in their features. Common to both is the normalization of certain inputs and outputs from 1 to 2 and that the envelope controls the VCA. DARV can therefore also be used as a VC mixer. The channels can be operated as unipolar A/R envelopes or with a fixed voltage of 5V. In addition, the input of channel 1 can be switched between IN (slew limiter) and TRIG (gate for the envelope). Thanks to the end-of-phase trigger of Attack and Release times, more complex envelope models can be patched with DARV. Channel 2 can also be operated unipolar as an A/R envelope or bipolar as LFO respectively VCO.
