The Catalyst Sequencer re-imagines the art of sequencing by fusing a traditional clocked step-sequencer with an innovative phase-based sequencer, ushering in a fresh era of sequencing possibilities. With eight meticulously precise CV sequencer channels at your disposal, you can effortlessly orchestrate intricate musical journeys. These channels can be simultaneously driven by a clock signal, a phase CV input, or manually manipulated using the intuitive crossfader.

Each of the eight channels boasts its own set of customisable features, including sequence length, quantisation options, transposition capabilities, clock division settings, randomisation controls, voltage range (ranging from -5V to +10V), and the choice between precise 16-bit resolution CV output or Gate mode.

Based on the original Catalyst module from Emblematic Systems, the Catalyst Sequencer also introduces the concept of phase-based sequencing, a cutting-edge method where each step is selected via CV modulation. It features a smooth and responsive crossfader, which allows you to seamlessly traverse your sequence forwards or backwards, aligning with your creative flow. Introducing a CV signal into the mix yields equally dynamic results: a rising CV ramps the sequence forward, a descending CV takes it in reverse, a triangular CV initiates a ping-pong effect, and intricate waveforms give rise to captivating rhythmic and melodic patterns.

All these groundbreaking features come in a compact 20HP format, ensuring that the Catalyst Sequencer can easily integrate into your modular setup, expanding your sonic horizons.

Controller CVModulation Sequencer Utility

The Catalyst Sequencer can turn into a Catalyst Controller, and vice-versa! Hold down a special button combination to change between sequencer and macro controller modes. If you end up buying one module but liking the other one more, you can remove the double-sided faceplate, flip it over, and re-install with the other artwork visible.
