With the Yvette Young YY20 OCS Orange Cream Sparkle, Ibanez presents the second signature guitar of the technically accomplished Covet guitarist and YouTube icon from California. Built on the popular Talman design with an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck, this electric guitar features two Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro single-coils that excel at traditional overdrive tones as well as modern, effects-rich textures. Yvette Young’s personal FACGHE tuning ensures her characteristic sound and offers wide creative freedom when developing new ideas. A Gotoh GTC202 string-through-body bridge and Gotoh MG-T locking tuners complete the Ibanez Yvette Young YY20 Signature model.

Talman design with high playing comfort

Yvette Young selected the proven Talman design as the foundation for her YY20, delivering agile playability and a lively, resonant tone through its carefully shaped lines and classic tonewoods. The alder body features smoothly rounded edges and comfortable contouring on both front and back, so it rests securely and comfortably against the player. The bolt-on maple neck with its slim YY profile offers effortless playability all the way up to the highest frets. The rosewood fingerboard carries traditional dot inlays and fluorescent Luminlay side dots, ensuring confident fingering even on dark stages.

Seymour Duncan pickups with traditional circuitry.

Two Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro single-coil pickups provide the YY20’s distinctive sound. Their Alnico II magnets lend a smooth warmth to the high end, taming sharp transients while preserving the characteristic single-coil clarity and twang. This makes the YY20 equally at home with sparkling clean tones, classic overdrive, or richly effected modern sounds. Control is straightforward with a traditional three-way selector and master volume and tone knobs.

Gotoh Hardware

High-quality Gotoh hardware underscores the YY20’s professional build. The Gotoh GTC202 hardtail bridge enhances sustain and resonance with its string-through-body design and allows precise intonation and string-height adjustment. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners ensure rock-solid tuning stability and quick string changes, making the Ibanez Yvette Young YY20 OCS Orange Cream Sparkle a reliable partner on stage and in the studio.
