"Those who want respect, give respect."

Here for sale is a SUPER rare 1962/1963 Model A2 Hollowbody from Julio Giulietti. This is one example from a long history of accordion makers switching to luthiery after the booming popularity of the electric guitar in mid-20th century. The thing is that these Italian accordion makers were SEASONED instrument makers who came from long histories and traditions of instrument manufacturing, so needless to say, they made pretty sweet electric guitars.

This thing is in great shape. Someone long ago fixed a delamination around the back, but it looks like it was done professionally, because the fix is still super stable. Aside from that,  there are a couple small dings and scrapes, but structurally, this thing is in killer playing shape. (See pics for full details)

The pickup sounds fantastic, any jazz or garage player's dream. Really chimey and full. My personal favorite part of this guitar are the huge metal control knobs that just OOZE cool. I almost stole them, but decided that would be sacrilegious.

The really astounding thing about this guitar is that it still plays incredibly. Super low action and a fast neck, in a blind playtest, you would never know this thing was nearly old enough to collect Social Security payments. It is a player's instrument through and through, as ready for the stage now as it was in 1962. (I'm a poet, and I don't know it)

As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action as low as I could.  This guitar comes with the original hardshell, which has a LUSH crushed blue velvet interior. I pack my stuff tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gear heads!
