Accuphase DP-550: A phenomenal CD/SACD player for digital audiophiles!
The Accuphase DP-550, released in 2012, is a modern audiophile-targeting high-fidelity CD and SACD player that features Accuphase’s proprietary high-performance audio technology. The DAC on this thing is really amazing, featuring both MDS+ (Multiple Delta Sigma+, an innovative DAC technology developed by Accuphase) and the latest Hyperstream DACs (ES9008 from ESS Tech). The DP-550 offers native DSD playback with DSF file format. It can be connected to a computer via USB as well, for digital DSD playback. All of these factors bring to the table a modern device with the highest possible quality in playback of audio from CDs and SACDs. Like other Accuphase equipment, the DP-550 is gorgeous in appearance, with an emphasis on luxury.
This unit is in excellent condition, with minor signs of age and use, including a few minor scratches and scuffs (please see photos). This player works perfectly and has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. The sound quality is superb, as expected.
