Vintage 1980's Shure Beta 58 dynamic cardioid microphone Blue Grey w accessories

 You are looking at a (1980's era) high quality Shure Brothers Beta 58 dynamic hyper cardioid microphone that has been cleaned and tested. It comes with a newer Shure mic clip and Shure carrying case.

 This is not a newer Beta 58A. This is the older (hard to find) 58 model made in America and a super high quality Shure product. Superior to the SM-58 model in every aspect.  

 The Shure Beta 58 was only made for about 10 years so you don't see too many of these around. It was a higher end dynamic cardioid microphone in Shure Brothers line up. These mics are so well made that properly stored...will last probably 100 years.

 The Shure Beta 58 has a beautiful warm tone and set at Low Impedance. An excellent choice for singing and broadcasting purposes. These mics are uni-directional picking up only the sound that's directly in front of the screen cancelling out most background noise making it ideal for situations where audience or fellow band members might be a problem.

 These lite weight mics are built like tanks and can be handheld or placed in a mic clip.

 As you can see there are typical signs of wear on the painted surface but still great looking and far above average for a mic of this age. Just typical scratches and scuffs marks. There are a couple engravings on the bottom of the handle as well. The stock blue / grey painted finish is a signature Beta 58 scheme but shows chips and scratches in the paint from years of being handled but no dents or fractures. The Shure label looks great. The globe is free of any dents or corrosion. This mic has an original foam insert in the front grill and it's in great condition. It helps greatly with acoustics and prevents the dreaded "pops" from breathing or windy conditions. Mic is 100% complete and solid. No loose parts.

 Microphone is an easy 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. The real beauty of this mic is the sound it produces. Hook this one up and you are ready for any live event.  

 The clip is a newer Shure model but works perfectly for this Beta 58. It will screw on to any American desk or floor stand.

 The original Shure Beta mic case is included and shows no wear. Works great and will protect your mic while not in actual use.

 You'll just need any standard XLR cable to operate the mic.

 This classic American made model is steadily going up in value so it's a wise choice from an investment point of view.
