The Pusher

The New Stock Model Bass from JPG blends Classic and Modern Styling with Killer Vintage Tone. The Hard Maple Through-Neck with Softer Maple wing construction has been a staple in bass making ever since Rickenbacker first did it in the 60’s. It puts more focus on the Low-Mids than the Bass range, this means when boosting lows everything stays tight and doesn’t end up all flabby (this is why the 4003 has been such a popular choice for stoner, sludge and doom bands).
Backed up by un-compromised build quality and a High-end Aircraft-Aluminium Bridge with Through-Body Stringing, you can expect sustain for days.
All of this is complemented by a pair of custom JPG Hand-Wound single coils, which I’m calling the B90’s due to their magnetic alignment. The coils are wound with 44AWG Plain Enamel magnet wire and feature soft iron rivet pole pieces. Unlike The Rick pickups that inspired them, these coils have been backed up by a pair of proper Alnico V magnets offering way more definition and clarity.
