The Manley Massive Passive is a colossal, tone-shaping EQ built around passive circuitry with metal-film resistors, precision film capacitors, and hand-wound inductors.

Its design delivers timbral sculpting that ranges from the most subtle enhancements to vivid transformations. The tube gain stages provide effortless handling of extreme boosts - smooth highs without sibilance, and powerful lows without muddiness.

Unlike conventional EQs, each band on the Massive Passive can be individually bypassed or switched between boost and cut. This doubles the control resolution and ensures true flat response when bypassed, eliminating the uncertainty of center-detent pots. Each band offers up to ±20 dB of boost or cut, with massive headroom and freedom from clipping.

The passive low-pass and high-pass filters deliver steep slopes with minimal coloration. Filter behavior is carefully tuned low-pass filters steepen progressively with higher cutoff points, while high-pass filters and select low-pass options provide slopes up to 60 dB per octave.

Custom designed transformer-balanced outputs guarantee easy integration into any setup, while also adding a subtle, desirable analog flavor: engineered to handle the huge boosts this EQ is capable of.
