Collings D2H – Circa 2006 | Rosewood Dreadnought | Near-Mint Condition

For sale is a Collings D2H, serial number starts with 29, dating to approximately 2006.

I have owned this guitar for a long time, and it remains in exceptionally clean, near-mint condition. No pickup has ever been installed, and no strap button has been added, so the guitar has remained remarkably original and untouched.

The D2H’s reputation speaks for itself. This example has the strong projection, clarity, balance, and note separation that Collings dreadnoughts are known for. It responds immediately to the pick, stays articulate under a heavy attack, and has excellent definition across the entire frequency range.

I personally played a Martin D-45V for many years, and purely in terms of acoustic performance, I would not consider this D2H inferior. It has the volume and headroom required for flatpicking, but also retains the refinement and detail expected from a high-end rosewood dreadnought.

The neck is straight, and the truss rod operates normally. There are no cracks in the top, and there is still plenty of adjustment available at the saddle and bridge. It has been carefully maintained throughout my ownership and requires no immediate repair or setup work.

For someone currently considering a new Collings, this would be an excellent alternative: a well-preserved older D2H that has already matured naturally while remaining in unusually clean condition.
