Eastman MD305L Left-Handed Classic A-Style Mandolin #4947
The Eastman MD305L is the left-handed version of the MD305, an A-style mandolin with f-holes, a solid spruce top, and solid maple back and sides. It comes left-handed from the factory, so a left-handed player does not have to restring or reverse a right-handed instrument.
The neck is maple with an ebony fingerboard on a 12 inch radius and a 13 7/8 inch scale, fitted with 23 Jescar frets and a bone nut at 1 3/32 inch, the standard mandolin string spacing. Proline J-105 tuners, an adjustable compensated ebony bridge, a cast aluminum tailpiece, ivoroid top binding and pearl dot inlays are standard, along with a satin finish and D'Addario XT phosphor bronze strings. It ships in a padded gig bag.
It suits left-handed players who want an all-solid-wood A-style mandolin. Players who want a hardshell case, a wider nut or an Adirondack top will need to look at a different model.
Serial #4947 — this listing is for the exact instrument shown in the photos above.
